Tulips!

Ever since Valentine's Day I've been really into tulips.

Centerpieces made of orange and yellow tulips graced the reception tables. Each vase was wrapped with green and orange so as not to reveal the tulip stems and to create a coordinated look throughout the room.

winter wedding

I'm sitting in front of the fire in Whistler, BC Canada right now, watching the snow fall. That put me in the mood for some "winter wedding" ideas. How amazing is this wedding shot from the famous Jessica Claire? Enjoy!

Low Centrepieces

I am loving these low centrepieces. As glam as high ones are, I prefer low ones so that everyone at the table can see each other. As you can tell, I haven't yet narrowed down a colour, but all of these are really gorgeous!

Citrus!

Citrus themes can be a fun way to add colour and texture to your wedding... especially if it is an outdoor summer wedding.

Bright citrus fruits were a key decor motif at the reception. Green limes held the escort cards in place.

Jenifer and Chip‘s color scheme was prevalent in their cream-colored invites with lemon yellow and lime green fonts.
Each table was lined with unique, square vases filled with lemons, limes, orchids, and cottage roses.

Natural Wood

I'm loving these gorgeous and very different natural vases from Jamali Gardens. I can just imagine them with moss balls, green succulants, or flowers in them. Clean white flowers would also look fab!

Bouqet Wraps

I'm quite torn between loving extravagant bouquet wraps, and thinking they are a bit over the top. I guess it depends on the wedding, and the dress. These wraps, however, are quite delightful and fun, and add a little sparkle to your photos.

Grass!

The trend that I've noticed cropping up (sorry I couldn't resist!!) all over the place is wheatgrass! Once the main-stay of environmental chic, wheatgrass is sprouting up everywhere (heheh sorry couldn't resist again!) at modern and elegant weddings without a crunchy theme.

Stylish Cake Stands

Today I've been preoccupied with unique cake stands, or cake stands that make your cake (or cupcakes!) really "pop" out in photos. The stand can often be overlooked by the busy bride, yet the choice of a stand really does influence the cake's presentation. Check out some great cake stands below!

This one from Hallmark (of all places!) is just so different!

InStyle featured a great modern cake stand in Feb. '06, but at $308USD, it is a bit out of my price range... a gal can dream! *sigh*
